Thursday, April 23 Visit to the Earl Scruggs Center in Shelby, NC; Host: Ron & Shirley Coffman
We plan to arrive ready to start at 10 AM in Shelby and will spend about 2 hours with the exhibits before having a barbecue lunch on the site. Considering our large number of attendees, parking on the street may require a walk of one to two blocks.
The Center features local history that produced Earl Scruggs, pioneer Bluegrass banjo artist, as well as his career, and the music of his time. There are many interactive exhibits.
With the expected large size of our group, our admission will be reduced to $7 per person plus tax. We will pay $20 per person for lunch. We are requested to pay for the group as a unit and I will collect your payment in advance of the trip. Indicate your interest on the signup sheet or contact Ron or Shirley 704-551-7002 firstname.lastname@example.org.
The pool guys are still looking for more players and/or brilliant conversationalists to join them on either (or both) the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 11am at the Fox & Hound at 8500 Pineville-Matthews Rd. There’s always plenty competition and, of course, plenty things to talk about. No arguments, please.
